FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION)
General Information
Outrun the Patriarchy is a movement born on March 8th, 2025, during the International Women’s Day Protest Run in Berlin. We are more than a running collective. We are a feminist movement within the running world. Its mission is to make running free, safe, and empowering for everyone, challenging gender inequality, discrimination, and harassment in the running community.
The WhistleRunner is a digital platform developed by Outrun the Patriarchy to report and address sexualized violence and discrimination in running. It acts as a safe, anonymous space for whistleblowers to speak up and help foster accountability in the sports community.
Both initiatives were created to empower runners, especially women and marginalized groups, to reclaim running as a safe and inclusive activity. They aim to shine a light on systemic issues in sports culture and provide practical tools to address them.

Reporting & Safety
(The WhistleRunner)
The platform allows users to submit reports of harassment, discrimination, or unsafe practices anonymously through a professional Whistleblower Software. These reports are reviewed by the Outrun the Patriarchy team, who then follow up responsibly to ensure action can be taken.
Yes. The platform is designed to protect whistleblowers. You can report incidents absolutely anonymously, and your personal information will never be shared without your consent.
Currently, we are launching in Berlin because we are working closely with local intermediaries such as associations, legal aid organizations, and mediators. Our long-term goal is to expand internationally, but to do so, we need your help in identifying the right local partners in other countries. That said, you can absolutely share your experiences and send us a report, no matter where you are. We welcome as many perspectives as possible and are grateful to receive them – every story helps create awareness and drives change.
Each report is reviewed by the Outrun the Patriarchy team. We prioritize your safety, support the affected individuals, and collaborate with the relevant organizations or authorities (in Germany) to address the issue.
PLEASE NOTE: To stay in contact with us after reporting it is important to safe your password to see our reply. If you do not save your password, it will be impossible for us to contact you again or to follow up on your case, as we do not store emails or IP addresses for confidentiality reasons.
